Maximum length must be less than 3 times the outside diameter of the duct. Contour change must be less than 20 percent of the outside diameter of the duct.
If the damage is more thanthe allowable limits,replace the duct (Ref. TASK 30-21-49-000-046) and (Ref. TASK 30-21-49-400-046).
If the dents are less thanthe allowable limits,repair the dents (Ref. CFMI ESM 72-09-03). If the dents are more than the allowable limits, replace the duct (Ref. TASK 30-21-49-000-046) and (Ref. TASK30-21-49-400-046).
If the flat areas are lessthan the allowable limits, repair them (Ref. CFMI ESM 71-09-03). If the flat areas are more than the allowable limits, replacethe duct (Ref. TASK 30-21-49-000-046) and (Ref. TASK 30-21-49-400-046).

R R R R  D. Nicks, scratches, chafing in straight section.  Maximum depth must be less than 10 percent of the wall thickness of the duct. There is no limit to the number of nicks, scratches or chafing allowed in the straight section of the duct.  If the damage is less thanthe allowable limits,repair the damage (Ref. CFMI ESM 72-09-03). If the damage is more than the allowable limits, replace the duct (Ref. TASK 30-21-49-000-046) and (Ref. TASK30-21-49-400-046).

 (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
 (a)
 Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

 (b)
 Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
