A. Preparation of a Replacement Component
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (7).
(2)
Make sure that the transport-cap has been removed from the controller housing assembly.
(3)
To clean the components:
(a) Clean the flanges on the anti-ice valve (2) and the anti-ice ducts (4) and (11) with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) and a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(4)
Do a visual inspection of the component interface and the adjacent area.

A. Preparation of a Replacement Component
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from:
-
the open ends of the anti-ice ducts (4) and (9)
-
the electrical connectors (5), (6) and (7)
-
the electrical connectors and the openings on the anti-ice control valve (2).
(2)
To clean the components:
(a) Clean the flanges on the anti-ice control valve (2) and the anti-ice ducts (4) and (9) with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026) and a clean MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).

B. Preparation for Installation
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003) made moist with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-026).
(2)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area. R **ON A/C 001-049, 051-099, 101-149, 151-199, 201-299, 401-499,

C. Installation of the Wing Anti-Ice Control Valve
(1)
Remove the blanking caps from the anti-ice ducts (4) and (11).
(2)
Put the anti-ice valve (2) in position between the two anti-ice ducts
(4) and (11). Make sure the pin (6) is correctly aligned with the hole (5) in the flange of the anti-ice valve (2).
(3)
Install the couplings (1) and (3).
(4)
TORQUE the nuts on the couplings (1) and (3) to between 0.39 and 0.51 m.daN (34.51 and 45.13 lbf.in).
(5)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors (8), (9) and (10).
(6)
Install the electrical connectors (8), (9) and (10).

R C. Installation of the Wing Anti-Ice Control Valve
R (1) FOR 9DL
R - slowly operate the indicator (10) with your hand to make sure that
R it moves freely.
R (2) FOR 10DL
R - slowly operate the indicator (11) with your hand to make sure that
R it moves freely.
R NOTE : The slide mechanism (12) must be in the center position for____
R correct operation.
R (3) Loosely assemble the clamps (1) and (3) to the anti-ice control valve
R (2).
R (4) Put the anti-ice control valve (2) in position between the two ducts
R (4) and (9). Make sure that the location pin (8) engages the hole in
R the flange of the anti-ice control valve (2).
R (5) Install the clamps (1) and (3) and TORQUE the nuts on the clamps (1)
R and (3) to between 0.39 and 0.51 m.daN (34.51 and 45.13 lbf.in).
R (6) Connect the electrical connectors (5), (6) and (7) to the anti-ice
R control valve (2).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit
breaker(s):
1DL, 2DL, 5CV, 7CV.
