A. Removal of the Top Anti-ice Duct
(1)
Cut and remove the lockwire from the four engine bolts (10) that attach the top anti-ice duct (15) to the engine.
(2)
Remove the bolts (10) and the seal (5). Keep the seal (5) to use again if it is serviceable.
(3)
Remove the coupling (20) that connects the top anti-ice duct (15) to the middle anti-ice duct (35). Keep the seal (25) to use again if it is serviceable.
(4)
Put blanking plugs on the two ends of the top anti-ice duct (15), the middle anti-ice duct (35), and the engine port.
(5)
Remove the top anti-ice duct (15) from the engine.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position.
