A. Removal of the Anti-ice Valve Filter WARNING : DO NOT TOUCH THE ANTI-ICE DUCTS UNTIL THEY ARE COOL. THE
_______ TEMPERATURE OF THE DUCTS STAYS HIGH FOR SOME TIME AFTER THE ENGINE STOPS.
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the caps (1) and (2).
(2)
Remove the caps (1) and (2).
(3)
Remove and discard the O-ring (3).
(4)
Remove the filter (4).
(5)
Put a blanking cap into the hole in the anti-ice control valve.
(6) Remove and discard the O-ring (5).

Remove the blanking cap (4).

Remove the filter (3).
(3)
Put a blanking plug in the opening in the anti-ice control valve.
(4)
Discard the O-rings (1) and (2).
(5)
Put the filter (3) in a clean, plastic bag.

(1) Make sure that warning notices are in these positions before you do work on the ice protection system: - on the high-pressure ground-power connections, to tell persons not
to pressurize the pneumatic system
-in the cockpit, to tell persons not to operate the engines or APU control switch - on the panel 30VU, to tell persons not to pressurize the bleed air system
- on the panel 115VU, to tell persons not to operate the slat controls.
(2) Make sure that the safety barriers are in position.
