(1)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2)
Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a)
Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b)
Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC system 1(2).
(4)
On the ANTI ICE section of the panel 25VU:
-make sure that the ON legend of the ENG1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

A. Inspection/Check of the Engine Air Intake Ice Protection
(1) Examine the anti ice valve:
-make sure that the anti ice valve and its attach fittings are in
the correct condition and satisfactorily clean R
-make sure that the electrical connector is correctly connected and in the correct condition.
NOTE : If necessary, the valve may be locked in the open position for
____ a short period of time. However, the valve should be replaced as soon as possible.
(2)
Examine the electrical harness for :
-correct external condition,
-clean condition,
-wear,
-signs of overheat,
-scaling of the insulation,
-damage which can change its characteristics.
(3)
Make sure that the duct :
-has no cracks or signs of leaks,
-is not damaged.
(4)
Make sure that the black coating of the duct is not damaged.
(5)
Make sure that the motive-pressure regulation line :
-has no cracks or signs of leaks,
-is not damaged.
(6)
Make sure that the clamps are correctly installed and make sure that their mounts have no cracks.
