(1)
Put the safety barriers in position.
(2)
Before you do work on the Ice Protection system, put warning notices in position to tell persons not to: - operate the pneumatic system - operate the engines - operate the slats - operate the APU switch.
(3)
Install a TOOL-ZERO LOCKING, FLAP SLAT CTL LEVER (98D27803500001) on the flap/slat control lever.
(4)
On panel 191DB, put a warning notice in position to tell persons not to pressurize the bleed air system.

LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolt (1).
(2)
If necessary, turn the indicator (2) to the OPEN position and install the bolt (1).
(3) Safety the bolt (1) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
(1)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the locking plate (6).
(2)
If necessary, move the rod (5) so that the bolt (4) is adjacent to the OPEN indication.
(3)
Move the locking plate (6) to hold and lock the rod (5).
(4)
Safety the locking plate (6) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
