LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
(1) If you do not know the cause of the defect, do these subsequent steps:
(a)
Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolt (1).
(b)
Remove the bolt (1) from the indicator (2).
(c)
Install the bolt (1) in the stowage position.
(d)
Safety the bolt (1) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(e)
Slowly operate the indicator (2) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely.

LOCKWIRE CAN CUT OR BLIND YOU.
(1)
If you do not know the cause of the defect, do these subsequent steps:
(a) FOR 9DL
-
remove and discard the lockwire from the locking screw (1)
-
remove the locking screw (1) from the indicator (2).
(2)
FOR 10DL
-remove and discard the lockwire from the locking plate (6)
-move the locking plate (6) to its central position.
R R R (3) FOR 9DL - install the locking screw (1) in the stowage position. Safety the locking screw (1) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
R (4) Do the test that follows:
R R R (a) FOR 9DL - slowly operate the indicator (2) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely.
R R R R R (b) FOR 10DL - slowly operate the rod (5) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely - safety the locking plate (6) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1DL, 2DL, 2KD.

D. Fault Isolation
(1) Do the trouble-shooting of the wing anti-ice control valve (Ref. TSM 30 PB 101) and do the necessary repair procedure.

R R (1) Remove the placard (that told the aircraft crew that the wing anti-ice control valve(s) were deactivated).
(2) Make an applicable entry in the aircraft log.

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
R (2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. TASK 57-41-37-400-008):
