(a)
Disconnect the forward hose (40) from the tube (20).
(b)
Disconnect the aft hose (5) from the tube (20).
(c)
Remove the bulkhead nut (10) and washer (15) from the tube (20). NOTE : Use a second wrench to hold the fittings on the tube (20)
____ when you loosen the coupling nuts on the hoses and when you loosen the bulkhead nut.
(d)
Remove the bolts (25), washers (30), and nuts (35) that attach the tube (20) to the forward anti-ice duct (65). Let the clamps
(45) stay on the tube (20).
(e)
Remove the tube (20) from the anti-ice duct (65).
(2)
Remove the coupling (60) that connects the forward anti-ice duct (65) to the anti-ice valve (4000DN). Keep the seal (55) to use again if it is serviceable.
(3)
Remove the coupling (60) that connects the forward anti-ice duct (65) to the mid anti-ice duct (90). Keep the seal (55) to use again if it is serviceable.
(4)
Remove the bolts (70), the washers (75), and the nuts (85) that attach the forward anti-ice duct (65) to the support links (80).
(5)
Remove the forward anti-ice duct (65) from the engine.

(6)
Put blanking plugs on the disconnected ducts, and the anti-ice valve.
(7)
Put protective covers on the hoses and the two ends of the muscle pressure tube.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2)
On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU, make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3)
On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU, make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off. Make sure that a warning notice is in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
(4)
Make sure that the access platform is in position.
