(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
4. Procedure

A. Operational Test of the PED Power Supply:
(1)
In the FWD cabin area:
-Make sure that the PED power ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position.
(2)
Connect a MULTIMETER - STANDARD together with a consumer/resistor to the portable electrical device (PED) power-outlet of a passenger seat.
NOTE : A minimum load of 3W is required, if not the outlet unit will
____
be disabled.
NOTE : The red LED (if installed) of the seat power outlet is on, the
____
multimeter shows 0 VAC.
(3) Do this test:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. In the FWD cabin area:
-Set the PED power ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
2. In the cockpit:
-Do the operational test of the passenger emergency-oxygen system (Ref. TASK 35-23-00-710-001).
NOTE : Do not hold the MASK MAN
____ ON pushbutton switch for more than 30 sec., because the FAULT indication light in the TMR RESET pushbutton switch comes on after 30 sec.
In the cockpit:
-Immediately reset the passenger emergency-oxygen system (Ref. TASK 35-23-00-710-001).
At the seat power outlet:
-
The green LED (if installed) comes on
-
The multimeter shows 110 +15-6VAC.
At the seat power outlet:
-
The red LED (if installed) comes on.
-
The multimeter shows 0 VAC.
NOTE : The red LED (if installed) of
____ the power outlet stays on andthe multimeter shows 0 VDC untilyou reset the emergency-oxygensystem.
At the seat power outlet:
-
The green LED (if installed) comes on
-
The multimeter shows 110 +15-6VAC.

3. In the FWD cabin area: At the seat power outlet:
-Set the PED power ON/OFF switch - The red LED (if installed) comes on. to the OFF position. - The multimeter shows 0 VAC.
(4) Disconnect the multimeter from the power outlet of the passenger seat.
NOTE : The red LED (if installed) of the power outlet stays on until
____ the aircraft electrical network is de-energized.
(5) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
