3.1 MIDU Interface Test
3.1.1 Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201)
3.1.2 Insure the following circuit breakers on the P11 panel are closed:
J7 FLIGHT RECORDER AC
J8 FLIGHT RECORDER DC

3.1.3 Verify that the <ACARS and <ACMS menu options appear on the MIDU MCDU main
menu as indicated in Figure 3-1-1.
Note: It may take several minutes for the applicable systems to initialize communication
with the MIDU.

3.1.5 Open the following circuit breaker on the P11 panel:

3.1.6 Verify that the following time-out screen is displayed as shown in Figure 3-1-3.

3.1.7 Press the MIDU MENU key and verify that the <ACARS menu options is displayed
adjacent to LSK 1L.

3.1.8 Close the following circuit breaker on the P11 panel:
J7 FLIGHT RECORDER AC
3.1.9 Verify that the <ACMS menu options is displayed adjacent to LSK 2L.
Note: It may take several minutes for the ACMS systems to initialize communication with
the MIDU.

3.1.10 From the MIDU main menu, select the <ACARS menu option to access the main ACARS
menu and verify that the screen is displayed as shown in Figure 3-1-4.
3.1.11 Press the MIDU MENU key and verify that <ACT> is displayed adjacent to the <ACARS
menu options.

3.1.12 From the MIDU MCDU main menu, select the <ACMS menu option and verify that the
ACMS main menu is displayed as shown in Figure 3-1-2.

3.1.13 From the ACMS main menu, press LSK 1L to select the <LABEL menu option and verify
that the screen is displayed as shown in Figure 3-1-5.

3.1.33 Press LSK 1L and verify that the adjacent text changes to DISABLED.

REPORT <CONSTANTS menu option and verify that the screen is displayed as shown in Figure
3-1-15.
