Initiate the EGPWS self test (level 1) and release the GPWS test switch. Once the
level 1 self test audio sequence begins, press and hold the GPWS test switch for less
than 2 seconds. This will start self-test level 2.
8. VERIFY the following messages are annunciated:
a) “CURRENT FAULTS”
b) “NO FAULTS”
d) “PRESS TO CONTINUE”
PASS FAIL
7. End of secondary input interface test.

Terrain Display Selection
The proper WXR and Terrain Display and Range Selection is checked by selecting the WXR and Terrain
Display on both NDs, changing the selected Range and verifying the range displayed on the NDs.
Test Procedure:
1. Set the WXR/TERR switch on both the Captain’s and F.O.’s EFIS Control Panel to ON.
2. Ensure that the WXR is on and the display mode for both the Captain and F.O.’s ND is
suitable for displaying weather (e.g. map mode).
3. Select a range for both the Captain and F.O.’s ND that ensures the display of terrain.
4. Set the Weather Radar to display the WXR Test Pattern. Press both the Captain’s and
F.O.’s WXR Display light/switch to display the WXR Test Pattern on both the Captain’s
and F.O.’s ND.
5. VERIFY all of the following:
a) The WXR Test Pattern is displayed on both the Captain and F.O.’s ND.
b) Both the Captain and F.O.’s WXR Display light/switch ON legends are illuminated.
PASS FAIL
6. Select TERR mode on the Captain’s ND by pressing the Captain’s Terrain Display
light/switch.
7. VERIFY all of the following:
a) The appropriate terrain is displayed on the Captain’s ND.
b) The Captain’s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is illuminated.
c) The Captain’s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
PASS FAIL
8. VERIFY all of the following:
a) The WXR Test Pattern is displayed on the F.O.’s ND.
b) The F.O.‘s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is illuminated.
c) The F.O.‘s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.

9. Deselect TERR mode on the Captain’s ND by pressing the Captain’s Terrain Display
light/switch.
10. VERIFY all of the following:
a) No terrain data is displayed on the Captain’s ND.
b) No WXR Test is displayed on the Captain’s ND.
c) The Captain’s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
d) The Captain’s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
PASS FAIL
11. Select WXR mode on the Captain’s ND by pressing the Captain’s WXR Display
light/switch.
12. VERIFY all of the following:
a) The WXR Test Pattern is displayed on the Captain’s ND.
b) The Captain’s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is illuminated.
c) The Captain’s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
PASS FAIL
13. Select TERR mode on the F.O.’s ND by pressing the F.O.’s Terrain Display light/switch.
14. VERIFY all of the following:
a) The appropriate terrain is displayed on the F.O.’s ND.
b) The F.O.’s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is illuminated.
c) The F.O.‘s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
PASS FAIL
15. Deselect TERR mode on the F.O.’s ND by pressing the F.O.’s Terrain Display
light/switch.
16. VERIFY all of the following:
a) No terrain data is displayed on the F.O.’s ND.
b) No WXR Test is displayed on the F.O.’s ND.
c) The F.O.’s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
d) The F.O.’s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.

PASS FAIL
17. Select WXR mode on the F.O.’s ND by pressing the F.O.’s WXR Display light/switch.
18. VERIFY all of the following:
a) The WXR Test Pattern is displayed on the F.O.’s ND.
b) The F.O.’s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is illuminated.
c) The F.O.’s Terrain Display light/switch ON legend is not illuminated.
PASS FAIL
19. Place the Captain’s ND in a Non WXR-displayable mode by selecting PLAN Mode on the
Captain’s EFIS Control Panel.
20. VERIFY all of the following:
a) No terrain data or WXR Test Pattern is displayed on the Captain’s ND.
b) The Captain’s WXR Display light/switch ON legend is illuminated.
