33. Remove the .DO NOT CLOSE. tags and close these circuit breakers on the P6 panel:
E1, FUEL VALVES L SPAR
E2, FUEL VALVES R SPAR
4.7 QAR Datastream Test
1. Insure that the following circuit breaker on the P11 panel are closed:
J34 ACMS S19, AIR/GND SYS 2
2. Locate the Quick Access Recorder, M90001 on the E3-3 shelf and make sure the POWER ON
light on the front of the QAR is on.
3. Verify that an optical disk is installed in the QAR and the FAIL and LOW CAPACITY
indicators are not illuminated.
4. Push the EXIT switch on the QAR and make sure OPERATOR shows on the QAR lower
display.
5. Push the ENTER switch on the QAR and verify that the following information is shown in the
lower display:
A- R? Q? (where ? is a character)
6. Prepare the safety-sensitive systems for air mode simulation (AMM 32-09-02/201).
7. Open the following circuit breaker on the P11 panel:
S19, AIR/GND SYS 2
8. Verify that the following information is shown in the lower display:
A* R? Q? (where ? is a character)
NOTE: AE or A- may show momentarily while the QAR finds the correct data rate.
9. Close the following circuit breaker on the P11 panel:
S19, AIR/GND SYS 2
10. Put the safety-sensitive systems back to their initial conditions (AMM 32-09-02/201).
4.8 Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition
1. Remove electrical power if it is no longer necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

1.2 Reason
China Southwest Airlines has previously installed the Honeywell Flight Data Acquisition
Management System (FDAMS) and Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System
(ACARS), which included a Communication Management Unit (CMU), Multi-Input Interactive
Display Unit (MIDU) and PTA-45B Data Printer. China Southwest Airlines has elected to add
interface wiring from the FDAMS to the MIDU and Data Printer to provide FDAMS control and
display functionality. This engineering order directs the wiring modifications and activation and is
intended for use in conjunction with STC ST00961AT.
1.3 Description
The instructions in this document direct the modification of existing wiring and the installation of
new wiring. For Group I & II aircraft the wire modifications will be accomplished in the main
equipment center on the E3-3 shelf at the FDAMS and E4-3 shelf at the CMU, in the aft control
stand P8 panel at the MIDU, and in the P61 sidewall panel at the Data Printer. New wiring will
route from the E3-3 shelf to the E4-3 shelf in the main equipment center and from the main
equipment center along the left side ceiling up through the flight deck floor to the P8 and P61
panel.
For Group III aircraft the wire modifications will be accomplished in the main equipment center
on the E3-3 shelf at the FDAMS, and in the P61 sidewall panel at the Data Printer. New wiring
will route from the E3-3 shelf from the main equipment center along the left side ceiling up
through the flight deck floor to the P61 panel.
1.4 Approval
These accomplishment instructions have been reviewed by a representative of the Federal Aviation

Administration (FAA). The modifications specified in these accomplishment instructions comply
with the applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs) and are FAA approved.

1.5 Manpower
Approximately 24 man-hours are required to complete these accomplishment instructions. This
estimate includes the hours necessary to complete the Accomplishment Instructions of Section 3. It
does not include the time it may take schedule work, examine work, make parts, locate tools, or
return any disturbed systems to operational status.
1.6 Material
For planning purposes the required list of installation kits can be found in Honeywell document
756-0074-300. For an overview of all of the documents required, reference Master Drawing List
