(e) After the level 4 self-test starts, push the GPWS SYS TEST switch on the ground
proximity warning module for one second to go to the level 5 self-test.
(f) After the level 5 self-test starts, push the GPWS SYS TEST switch on the ground
proximity warning module for one second to go to the level 6 self-test.
NOTE: The “DISCRETE INPUT TEST, PRESS TO CANCEL” will be enunciated
approximately 60 seconds throughout this test.
(1) Air/Ground Discrete Input Test
(a) Remove the hydraulic power from the Hydraulic System A and B.
(b) Open the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker on panel P6-3.
(c) Make sure “NOT ON GROUND” message is enunciated.
(d) Close the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker on panel P6-3.
(e) Make sure “ON GROUND” message is enunciated.
(2) Landing Gear Discrete Input Test
(a) Put the landing gear handle to OFF position.
(b) Make sure “LANDING GEAR UP” message is enunciated.
(c) Engage the GND PROX GEAR INHIBIT switch on P3-7 panel.
(d) Make sure “LANDING GEAR DOWN” message is enunciated.
(e) Put the GND PROX GEAR INHIBIT switch to NORMAL position..
(f) Make sure “LANDING GEAR UP” message is enunciated.
(g) Put the landing gear handle to DN position.
(h) Make sure “LANDING GEAR DOWN” message is enunciated.
(3) Flap Discrete Input Test
(a) Supply power to hydraulic system A and B.
(b) Engage the GND PROX FLAP INHIBIT switch on P3-7 panel.
(c) Make sure “LANDING FLAPS” message is enunciated.
(d) Put the GND PROX FLAP INHIBIT switch to NORMAL position.
(e) Make sure “NOT LANDING FLAPS” message is enunciated.
(4) Glideslop Cancel Discrete Input Test
(a) Push and hold the GND PROX G/S INHB switch on the P1 or P3 panel.
(b) Make sure “GLIDESLOP CANCELED” message is enunciated.
(c) Release the PROX G/S INHB switch.
(d) Make sure “GLIDESLOP ENABLED” message is enunciated.
(5) Terrain Override Discrete Input Test
(a) Engage the TERR INHIBIT switch on P3-7 panel.
(b) Make sure “TERRAIN OFF” message is enunciated.
(c) Put the TERR INHIBIT switch on P3-7 panel to NORMAL position..
(d) Make sure “TERRAIN ON” message is enunciated.
(7) Push and release the GPWS SYS TEST switch on the ground proximity warning
module.
NOTE: This step will end the level 6 self-test.
H. Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition.

1. General
A. This subject has these tasks:
(1) A removal of the enhanced ground proximity warning computer (EGPWC)
(2) An installation of the EGPWC.
B. The EGPWC is on the E2 electronic equipment rack, shelf No. 4, in the Electronic
Compartment.

Compartment

CAUTION: DO NOT TOUCH THE CONNECTOR PINS OR OTHER CONDUCTORS
ON THE EGPWC . IF YOU TOUCH THESE CONDUCTORS,
ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE
EGPWC .
(3) Remove the EGPWC (AMM TASK 20-10-07-000-801 page201).
