description of the fault(s).
6.2.6 Self Test Level 3 - System Configuration
NOTE: Level 3 Self Test must be performed immediately following Level 2 Self Test. Thus, the
test steps listed below start with Level 1 Self Test and step to Level 2 Self Test.
NOTE: The GND PROX BITE or GND PROX SYS message will be annunciated on the EICAS system display
and the Terrain INOP light will be illuminated throughout this test.
Test Procedure:
1. Initiate the EGPWS Self Test (Level 1) and release the GPWS test switch. Once the Level
1 Self Test audio sequence begins, press and hold the GPWS test switch for less than
2 seconds (this will start Self Test Level 2 - Current Faults).
NOTE: The operator may skip step 1 above and start this test immediately following Level
2 Self Test as described in Section 6.2.4, Self Test Level 2— Current Faults.
2. Within 3 seconds after the “PRESS TO CONTINUE” message is enunciated at the end of
Level 2 Self Test, press the GPWS test switch for less than 2 seconds.
NOTE: Annotate the correct serial number for the EGPWC being installed per this
installation.
3. VERIFY the following messages are enunciated.
NOTE: Order of messages is not being tested only that all of the messages are enunciated.

6.2.7 Self Test Level 6 - Discrete Input Test
NOTE: Self Test Levels 4 and S are not required for this test. Self Test Level 4 enunciates
faults that have occurred during past flights. Self Test Level 5 enunciates
alerts/warnings that have occurred during past flights. Refer to the Line Maintenance
Manual for the Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning Computer Part Number
965-0976-OXX-XXX-XXX (Honeywell Document 060-4199-014) for details.
NOTE: To get to a Level 6 Self Test the operator must cycle through Self Test Levels 1 through
5. The following steps show the procedure to get to the Level 6 Self Test.
NOTE: The GND PROX BITE or GND PROX SYS message will be annunciated on the EICAS system display

After “SYSTEM CONFIGURATION” is enunciated, perform a long cancel (press the GPWS
test switch for between 2 and 8 seconds).
The “PRESS TO CONTINUE” message is enunciated.
NOTE: The operator may skip step 1 above and start this test immediately following Level
3 Self Test as described in Section 6.2.5, Self Test Level 3 - System
Configuration.
2. Within 3 seconds after the “PRESS TO CONTINUE” message is enunciated at the end of
Level 3 Self Test, press the same GPWS test switch for less than 2 seconds. (This will
start Self Test Level 4 - Fault History).
3. After “FAULT HISTORY” is enunciated, perform a long cancel (press the GPWS test
switch for between 2 and 8 seconds).
4. Within 3 seconds after the “PRESS TO CONTINUE” message is enunciated, press the GPWS
test switch for less than 2 seconds. (This will start Self Test Level 5 - Warning
