l. Flight crew must complete the approved training program and show competency and proficiency
in the special procedures as well as in equipment handling. These special approaches are
labeled as “Special Aircrew and Aircraft Certification Required”.
m. Only airplanes certified for CAT III operations can be used for this type of approaches and should
be conducted when using a head-up guidance system (HGS) to touch down. Both airplane and
HGS should be listed in paragraph C0021 Table 2.
n. Approved Instrument Landing System Facilities – Airports and Runways. These specific facilities
approved for these special authorization CAT II operations must be certified in accordance with
the requirements specified in the advisory circular AC91FS-03.
(1) The certificate holder has special authorization to conduct CAT II approaches with a DH not
lower than RVR 500m (1600ft), using HGS to touchdown into specially approved airports and
runways, in the absence of Touchdown Zone Lights (TZL) and Centerline Lights (CL). List all
such airports and runways in Table 1 below:

(2) The certificate holder has special authorization to conduct CAT II approaches with a DH not
lower than RVR 350m (1200ft), using HGS to touchdown into specially approved airports and
runways with Centerline Lights (CL). List all such airports and runways in Table 1 below:
(3) When lighting components, i.e., touchdown zone and runway centerline lights that are
normally required for CAT II or CAT III operations become inoperative, the operations
authorized under this operations specification may be conducted without having listed those
airports and runways in Table 1 below, provided all the requirements of this operations
specification are met.
