approved 10-minute takeoff thrust time limits in accordance with the provisions of this paragraph.
a. The manufacturer’s Airplane Flight Manuals (AFM) must include takeoff obstacle climb data for
use with a 10-minute engine-out takeoff thrust time limit. This AFM data must be applied to the
certificate holder’s airplane engine-out takeoff obstacle analysis to provide critical obstacle
clearance in the event of an engine failure during takeoff.
b. The certificate holder’s approved operations manual and training program will include the engineout
departure procedures specifically designed to use the 10-minute takeoff thrust time limits.

C0045 IFR APPROACH PROCEDURES USING VERTICAL NAVIGATION (VNAV)
The certificate holder is authorized to conduct the instrument approach procedures other than ILS,
MLS, or GPS landing system (GLS) utilizing a visibility and a decision altitude/(height) [DA(H)] equal
to the published visibility and minimum descent altitude (MDA) using the following aircraft and
procedures as specified in this operations specification.
a. Authorized Aircraft and Equipment. The certificate holder is authorized to conduct instrument
approach operations using the following aircraft and area navigation systems certified for these
VNAV operations.

c. Authorized Airports and Runways WITH CAAC Visual Segment Assessment. The certificate
holder is authorized to conduct these VNAV approaches at runways served by VOR, VOR/DME,
NDB, RNAV, GPS, LOC, LOC-BC, LDA or SDF approaches which meet one or more of the
following criteria, (which indicate the existence of an CAAC visual segment assessment):
(1) Approaches to runways served by an RNAV instrument approach procedures with published
VNAV DA(H), provided, the final approach course of the intended RNAV procedure is coincident
with the final approach course of the published RNAV procedure with the DA(H), or
(2) Approaches to runways served with a VASI or PAPI vertical visual guidance system, or
(3) Approaches to runways served by ILS approaches with a published glide slope angle.
d. VNAV Path Angle. A VNAV path angle of less than 2.75 or greater than 3.77 degrees is not
authorized.
e. Required Training. Before conducting any operations authorized by this operations specification,
the flightcrew must be trained in accordance with the certificate holder’s approved training
program for the system and procedures being used.
