B0019 OPERATIONS IN NORTH PACIFIC (NOPAC) AIRSPACE
The certificate holder is authorized to conduct operations in North Pacific (NOPAC) airspace provided
the provisions of this paragraph are met. The certificate holder shall not conduct any other operations
in this airspace under these operations specifications.
e. For all flights in NOPAC airspace where RNP-10 and/or RVSM approval are not required either
of the following conditions must be met:
(1) The operation must be conducted in accordance with the provisions and limitations of B0015
subparagraph b, or
(2) The operation must be conducted using a flight navigator and the required navigation
equipment specified in paragraph B0037a(1),or B0037a(2).
f. The NOPAC area of operation authorized by this paragraph lies within the Anchorage and Tokyo
FIRs. The southern lateral boundary of this area is 100 nautical miles (180 kilometers) south of
the southernmost NOPAC airspace route. The northern lateral boundary is the northern
boundaries of the Anchorage and Tokyo FIRs. The vertical boundaries include the airspace
between the MEA and the MAA.
g. The certificate holder is authorized to conduct operations in NOPAC airspace where RNP-10
approval is required provided that the certificate holder has been issued operations specification
paragraph B0015, Class II Navigation Using Multiple Long Range Navigation System (LRNS), is
authorized RNP-10 (or better), and the certificate holder follows the limitations and provisions of
operations specification B0015 subparagraphs b, c, and d.
h. The certificate holder is authorized to conduct operations in NOPAC airspace where RVSM
approval is required provided that the certificate holder has been issued operations specifications
paragraph B0035, Operations in Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) Airspace, and
the certificate holder follows the limitations and provisions of operations specification B0035
subparagraphs a, b, c, d, and e.
i. The administrator may authorize a certificate holder to deviate from the RNP-10 and/or RVSM
requirements in subparagraphs b and c above provided that the requirements of operations
specification B0015 subparagraphs b and d are met if the deviation relates to RNP-10 ;or the
requirements of B0035 subparagraph e are met, if the deviation is related to RVSM.

B0021 OPERATIONS IN NORTH ATLANTIC MINIMUM NAVIGATION PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATIONS
(NAT/MNPS) AIRSPACE
The certificate holder is authorized to conduct operations within the airspace defined as the North
Atlantic Minimum Navigation Performance Specifications (NAT/MNPS) airspace in accordance with
the provisions of this paragraph. The certificate holder shall not conduct any other operations in
NAT/MNPS airspace under these operations specifications.
a. NAT/MNPS airspace is that volume of airspace within the Oceanic Control Areas of Santa Maria,
Shanwick, Reykjavik, Gander Oceanic, and New York, excluding the area west of 60(degrees) W
and south of 38(degrees) 30(minutes)S as defined in CCAR Part 91 Appendix D and ICAO NAT
Regional Supplementary Procedures (SUPPS) (Doc 7030).
b. The certificate holder shall not conduct any operation in NAT/MNPS airspace unless the
certificate holder has satisfactorily demonstrated that navigation equipment installed on any
airplane used in NAT/MNPS operation and the procedures for use of this equipment meet the
following NAT/MNPS requirements on a continuing basis:
(1) The standard deviation (one sigma) of the lateral tracking error is less than 6.3 nautical miles
(11.67 kilometers).
(2) The proportion of the total flight time in NAT/MNPS airspace spent by the airplane 30 nautical
miles (55.56 kilometers) or more off the exact centerline of the assigned track is less than 5.3
