(3) An approved Loran "C" receiver and a reliable means, such as an approved radio altimeter,
for obtaining drift information.
b. The certificate holder shall conduct all operations using a flight navigator in accordance with the
following limitations and provisions.
(1) The certificate holder shall conduct all Class II navigation operations so the aircraft is
continuously navigated to the degree of accuracy required for air traffic control.
(2) Unless a flight navigator is used, in lieu of the pilots, to operate the long-range navigation
systems approved in accordance with B0015 of these operations specifications, the certificate
holder shall not conduct operations using a flight navigator within Central East Pacific
Composite Airspace, North Pacific Airspace above FL 270, North Atlantic Minimum
Navigation Performance Specifications Airspace, or Canadian Minimum Navigation
Performance Specifications Airspace.
(3) Except when navigation is being performed under the supervision of a check airman properly
qualified for the Class II navigation operation being conducted, the flight navigator must be
qualified on the navigation equipment being used in accordance with the certificate holder's
approved training program. A flight navigator performing under the supervision of a check
airman shall have satisfactorily completed the ground school portion of that training program.
