(c) Serviceable runway centerline marking (RCLM).
(d) In circumstances when none of the above visual aids are available, visibility or RVV
400m (1/4 sm) may still be used, provided other runway markings or runway lighting
provide pilots with adequate visual reference to continuously identify the takeoff surface
and maintain directional control throughout the takeoff run.
(e) RVR Reporting Systems.
(i) The touchdown zone RVR report, if available, is controlling.
(ii) The mid RVR report may be substituted for the touchdown zone RVR report if the
touchdown zone RVR report is not available.
(2) Touchdown zone RVR 350m (1200ft) (beginning of takeoff run) and rollout RVV 300m
(1000ft), provided all of the following visual aids and RVR equipment are available.
(a) Operative runway centerline lights (CL).
(b) RVR Reporting Systems. Two operative RVR reporting systems serving the runway to
be used, both of which are required and controlling.
(iv) The touchdown zone and rollout RVR reports are controlling for all operations.
(v) A mid-RVR report may be substituted for either a touchdown zone RVR report if a
touchdown zone report is not available or a rollout RVR report if a rollout RVR
report is not available.
(vi) Where four RVR reporting systems are installed (i.e., touchdown zone, mid,
rollout, and far end sensors), the far end sensor, which is not required, may
provide advisory information to pilots or may be substituted for the rollout sensor
RVR report if the rollout sensor RVR report is not available.
(3) Touchdown zone RVR 175m (600ft) (beginning of takeoff run), or RVV 175m (600ft), provided
all of the following visual aids and RVR equipment are available.
(a) Operative runway centerline lights (CL).
(b) Serviceable runway centerline markings (RCLM).
(c) RVR Reporting Systems.

(iii) Where only two RVR reporting systems are installed on the runway to be used, the
touchdown and rollout RVR sensors are both required and controlling.
(iv) Where three RVR reporting systems are installed on the runway to be used:
(A) The touchdown zone, mid and rollout RVR reports are controlling for all
operations.
(B) The failure of any one transmitter will not affect operations provided the
remaining two RVR sensors are reporting values at or above the appropriate
minima in this subparagraph.
(iv) Where four RVR reporting systems are installed (i.e., touchdown zone, mid,
rollout, and far end sensors):
(C) The touchdown zone, mid and rollout RVR reports are controlling for all
operations.
(D) The far end sensor, which is not required, may provide advisory information to
pilots or may be substituted for the rollout sensor RVR report if the rollout
sensor RVR report is not available.
k. The certificate holder shall conduct all operations using the lower than standard takeoff
minimums described in this operations specification in compliance with the following limitations:
(1) Each aircraft must be operated with a flightcrew consisting of at least two pilots. Use of an
autopilot in lieu of a required co-pilot is not authorized.
(2) Each pilot station must have operational equipment which displays a reliable indication of the
following:
(a) Aircraft pitch and bank information, from a gyroscopic source.
(b) Aircraft heading, from a gyroscopic source.
(c) Vertical speed.
(d) Airspeed.
(e) Altitude.
(3) Each pilot station must have an independent source of power for the equipment required by
subparagraphs d(2)(a) and d(2)(b).
(4) Each pilot-in-command must have at least 100 hours flight time as pilot-in-command in the
specific make and model airplane used under this authorization and must have satisfactorily
completed the certificate holder’s approved training program for the minimums authorized by
this operations specification which includes the methods to be used to ensure compliance
with the performance limitations in subparagraph d(6), when applicable.
(5) Any co-pilot authorized by the certificate holder to manipulate the flight controls during takeoff
(using the minimums authorized by this operations specification) must have at least 100 hours
flight time as a pilot in the specific make and model airplane and must have satisfactorily
completed the certificate holder’s approved training program for those minimums.
(6) For takeoffs when the RVR is less than Touchdown Zone RVR 300m (1000ft) and rollout RVR
300m (1000ft), each airplane used must be operated at a takeoff weight which permits the
