-Slide the accessories (threaded ring, backshell with strain-relief etc.) onto the cable harness.
-Cut the wires at right-angles.
____
NOTE : The wire cut must be clean without any protruding part or burns to avoid damage to the grommet of the pressure seal.
(b) Insertion of the electrical wires
-The tools and electrical wires must be clean and should be aligned with the axis of the hole during insertion to avoid damage to the grommet.
____
NOTE : Do not use lubricants for installation of the wires in the grommets.
-Insert the wires in the holes of the grommet. R - Slowly draw the wires through the pressure seal until they R reach their final position.
-The holes not used must be sealed with blind cables or sealing plugs.
-Install the accessories (threaded ring, backshell with strain-relief etc.) on the pressure seal.

(3) Installation procedure
R
R (a) Preparation
R - Degrease and clean the surfaces using a lint face cloth and a
R small amount of cleaning agent (Material N.11-003).
R - Attach the pressure seal to the structure, paying attention to
R the direction of installation of the grommet.
R - Ensure that the O-ring is installed and make certain that this
R is positioned correctly in the groove.
R - Tighten the nut of the grommet between 1.23 m.daN (108.8495
R lbf.in) and 1.37 m.daN (10.1032 lbf.ft).
R - Slide the accessories (threaded ring, backshell with
R strain-relief etc.) onto the cable harness.
R (b) Insertion of the electrical wires
R - Cut the wires at right-angles.
R ____NOTE : The wire cut must be clean without any protruding part or
R burns to avoid damage to the grommet of the pressure seal.
R - Wrap tape around the end of the cable.
R - The tools and electrical wires must be clean and should be
R aligned with the axis of the hole during insertion to avoid
R damage to the grommet.
R ____NOTE : Do not use lubricants for installation of the wires in the

- Insert the wire.
- Slowly draw the wire through the pressure seal until it reaches
its final position.
- Secure the cable with the cable tie so that the cable will not
move in the pressure seal.
- Inject compound (Material N. 09-002) around the base of the
wires.
- Clean off surplus sealant with solvent (Material N.11-003).
