GROUNDING MODULE - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
_______1. General
Grounding modules installed on aircraft have the following codes: - E0425 grounding module installed on structure. - NSA937916 grounding module installed on support.

(1) Temperature Minimum operating temperature is -55 deg.C (-67.00 deg.F) Maximum operating temperature is 125 deg.C (257.00 deg.F)
C. Module Installation (Ref. Fig. 002)
(1) Surface preparation
(a) The module must be in direct contact with a bare metal surface.
(b) Remove any insulating protective coatings (paint, anodizing, etc.) from the surfaces in contact as follows: - Strip the contact surfaces with a rotating metallic brush over a 13 mm (0.5118 in.) to 15 mm (0.5905 in.) area (with a pilot of diameter between 0.3 mm (0.0118 in.) and 0.5 mm (0.0196 in.) smaller than the hole diameter). - Remove dust and marks from the stripped part with a cloth soaked in solvent and wipe dry after cleaning. - Immediately after stripping, apply a small quantity of neutral vaseline (Material No.04-012) to the surface.

(2) Module installation - Install the module immediately after the previous operations. If you cannot install the module, do the surface preparation operations again. - TORQUE the module attachment screw to between 0.4 m.daN (35.3982 lbf.in) and 0.5 m.daN (44.2477 lbf.in) . - After you TORQUED the screw, remove any remaining vaseline.
