-
Install the ferrule (1) and the dielectric (2) on the wire.
-
Install the contact (3) on the core and crimp with the applicable tool.
-
Install the dielectric (4) over the contact (3).
-Engage this assembly in the connector body (5). Make sure that the shoulder of the ferrule touches the rear of the connector.
-Crimp the connector body (5) with the applicable tool. Make sure that the crimping is in the crimping area.

(1) With normal wire (AC or CF type)
(a)
Wire stripping
(Ref. Fig. 007)
(b)
Crimping procedure
(Ref. Fig. 005, 007)
-Slide the ferrule (1) on the wire.
-Strip the wire at the size "A".
-Slide the dielectric (2) on the wire. Slide the contact core (3) on the wire conductor.
-Crimp the contact core (3) with the tool.
-Engage the assembly into the connector body, positioning the rear of the barrel against the ferrule (1).
-Crimp the barrel of the contact body (4).

COAXIAL CONNECTORS - MISCELLANEOUS - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
_______
1. General Miscellaneous coaxial connectors installed on aircraft have the codes that follow:
-E0295
_____
2. E0295
(Ref. Fig. 001)
A. P/N identification
E0295 PL 01 FL | | | | | | | -------------- Bayonet code | None = 3 bayonets | | | | FL = 4 bayonets | | | | | ------------------- Code cable | 01 = E0259 | | | ------------------------ Type code | PL = plug | | BJ = socket | ------------------------------- Standard P/N
B. Connection procedure
(1)
Wire stripping
(Ref. Fig. 002)
-Put the cap, the heat shrinkable sleeve (1) on the wire before you strip it to prevent the deformation of the braided shield.
-Strip the wire to the size A. Make sure that you do not cut the braided shield strands or cause damage to the conductors.
(2)
Crimping procedure
(Ref. Fig. 003)
(a) Open the braided shield.
-Install the braid cone under the braid (2), (3). Put the two wires through the cone (2) and make sure that the braid (3) touches the cone support (2).
(b)
Install the dielectric (4) and make sure that the white wire (6) goes through the center of the dielectric (4) and the brown wire
