C. Polarization keys
(1) General
(Ref. Fig. 003)
-
You can install the polarization keys E0391 only on all connectors E0390 of the first generation.
-
You can install the polarization keys E0392 only on connectors E0390 of the second generation.
____
NOTE : The connectors E0390 of the second generation have the manufacturer P/N in a box with a 1 mm (0.0393 in.) thick white border.
-The male polarization key will be installed on the fixed connector (plug or receptacle).
(2)
Installation (Ref. Fig. 003) To get a correct orientation of the polarization key, align, with two hexagonal wrenches, the mark and the polarization number written on the back of the connector. The mark on the polarization key is:
-
A line on the female key (E0391A or E0392C).
-
A dot on the male key (E0391B or E0392D).
(a) E0391X
-Engage the polarization key in its cavity.
-Make sure the polarization key is oriented correctly.
-Install the retaining clip (1).
(b) E0392X
-Engage the polarization key in its cavity.
-Make sure the polarization key is oriented correctly.
-Push until you hear a metallic click.
(3)
Removal
(Ref. Fig. 004)
(a) E0391X
-Extract the clip (1).
-Remove the polarization key.
(b) E0392X
-Push the polarization key with AIR-LB tool P/N 001901-003-00 or SOURIAU tool P/N 8665-133 . side M for male key (E0392D) . or side F for female key (E0392C)
