 B. P/N characteristics
 (1) Temperature Minimum operating temperature is -65 deg.C (-85.00 deg.F). Maximum operating temperature is 200 deg.C (392.00 deg.F).
 C. Connection procedure
 (1)
 Wire stripping
 (Ref. Fig. 006, 007)

-Put the heat shrinkable sleeve if necessary then the ferrule on the wire before you strip it to prevent the deformation of the shield braid.
-Strip the wire. Make sure that you do not cut the shield braid strands or cause damage to the center conductor.

 (2)
 Crimping procedure
 (Ref. Fig. 006, 007)

-Install the wire core in the contact through the braid support and
cap. R Move the braid support below the braid. R Push sufficiently to make sure that the wire insulation touches the R rear of the contact.
-For NSA38621-F06, F09 and FC09 only : Crimp with the applicable tool. . Install the ferrule on the braid until it touches the cap.
-Except for NSA938621-F06, F09 and FC09 : Crimp with the applicable tool. Insert this assembly in the body (if necessary, do not forget the sealing washer). Tighten and apply the applicable torque.

R  Make a red line on the connector body and the cap to show that it is tight.

-For NSA938621-F06, F09 and FC09 only : . Install the assembly in the body. . Insert the connector in the applicable tool and crimp.

COAXIAL CONNECTORS - MINIATURE - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
 _______
1. General
Miniature coaxial connectors installed on aircraft have the codes that follow:
 -E0180
 -NSA938012
 -NSA938013
 _____2. E0180
 A. P/N identification (Ref. Fig. 001)
 E0180  W  3B  00  P
 |  |  |  |  |
 |  |  |  |  ---------- Type of contact : P = pin
 |  |  |  -------------- Color code : 00 = without color
 |  |  ------------------- Number of bayonets | 3B = 3 bayonets
 |  |  | 2B = 2 bayonets
 |  ------------------------ Type code

 ------------------------------ Standard P/N
 B. Connection procedure
 (1) Wire stripping (Ref. Fig. 002)
 (a) For AK and CF wires only :
-Install the ferrule on the wire.
 -Use the applicable tool.
 -Strip to the length "B".
 (b) For XE wires only :
-Install the ferrule on the wire.
 -Use the applicable tool.
 -Strip to the length "A".
 (c) For SW24 wires only :
-Install the ferrule and the heat shrinkable sleeve 1 (E0718-02-25) on the wire.
-Shrink the sleeve 1 with the applicable tool.
-Strip the wire to the length "A" with the applicable tool.
-Open and comb the braid than strip with the applicable tool to the length "B".

 (2) Crimping procedure
 (a) For E0180T only :
 (Ref. Fig. 003)

-Move the braid strands (3) to the end of the wire.
-Put the ferrule (4) in position, fold the strands above the top and comb them, side by side.
-Install the dielectric (5) and the contact (6) on the core of the wire.
-Crimp the contact (6) with the applicable tool.
 -
Install the dielectric (7) over the contact (6).

 -
Install a heat shrinkable sleeve (8) and put it in position at the rear of the ferrule (4).

-Engage the assembly in the connector body (9) and put the rear body in position on the braid, against the ferrule shoulder.
-Crimp the connector body (9) with the applicable tool. Make the braid whiskers flush if necessary.
-Put the heat shrinkable sleeve (8) above the connector body and shrink it with the applicable tool.
