 A. Safety Precautions
 (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.

 (3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).

 B. Get Access
 (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. TASK 71-13-00-010-040):

 (2) Put an access platform in position. Subtask 71-73-49-020-050
 C. Remove the oil, hydraulic, and water drain tubes/hose (Ref. TASK 71-73-49-000-006).
 4. Procedure

 A. Clean the tubes/hose as follows:
 (1) If the tube/hose is blocked, use controlled air supply 30 +/- 5 psi
(2.07 +/- 0.34 bar) to clear the blockage.
(2) If the blockage can not be cleared by the use of controlled air, use a clean piece of cloth attached to a length of wire to clear the blockage.
(3) Remove loose dirt from the exterior of the tube/hose with a clean moist cloth.
(4) Dry the surface of the tube/hose with a clean cloth.
(5) For hard to remove dirt or stain use a bristle brush.
