(a) Put a warning notice to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.

A. Removal of the IDG Oil Drain Tube
(1) Put a container 1 l (0.25 USgal) below the drain reservoir module to catch any fluid remaining in the tube.
(2) Disconnect the drain tube (5) from the drain reservoir and let the fluid drain into the container.
(3) Disconnect the drain tube (5) from the IDG pad drain.
(4) Remove the drain tube (5) from the engine.
(5) Put protective covers on the drain reservoir, the IDG pad drain, and the drain tube (5).
(6) Remove the container from below the drain reservoir.

A. Installation of the IDG Oil Drain Tube
(1) Remove the protective covers from the drain reservoir, the IDG pad drain, and the drain tube (5).
(2) Connect the drain tube (5) to the drain reservoir. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(3) Connect the drain tube (5) to the IDG pad drain. Do not torque the coupling nut at this time.
(4) Make sure that the drain tube (5) is aligned correctly on the engine.
