A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-001).
(3)
If the test is to be done with the nose wheels on the ground, do these steps:
NOTE : You will need two 1.2 m (3.93 ft.) square steel plates.

(a)
Position a steel plate in front of the nose wheels.
(b)
Apply a thick layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) or COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-022) to the upper surface of the steel plate.

NOTE : Do not mix Material No. 04-004 with Material No. 04-022.____ You can use Material No. 04-022 as an alternative to Material No. 04-004. Clean and degrease the parts before you use Material No. 04-022.
(c) Put the other steel plate on the top of the greased steel plate.
(d) Move the aircraft and position the nosewheels on the greased steel plates (Ref. TASK 09-10-00-584-002).
(4) If the test is to be done with the nose wheels clear of the ground do this:
(a) Lift the nose gear (Ref. TASK 07-12-00-582-001).
