 TORQUE the screws (41) to 0.5 m.daN (44.24 lbf.in). NOTE : If the screws (41) have a head with holes for lockwire, safety

____ them with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia. 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).

 Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004A) to the inner surface of the mounting fixture assy (10). Install the transducer (13). Do not use force. Put the cable in position.


 NOTE : Make sure that the five studs (42) come out on the tachometer

 side.

 (8)
 Install the washers (45) and the nuts (46). Torque the nuts to between 0.225 and 0.275 m.daN (19.91 and 24.33 lbf.in) and safety them with the lockwire corrosion resistant steel dia. 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).

 (9)
 Remove the blanking caps and connect the connector (1) to the tachometer (2).

 (10)
 Connect the fan connector (9) as fallows:

 (a)
 Remove the blankings caps.

 (b)
 Put the retaining plate (8) in position and connect the connector

 (9) to the plug (39).

 (c)
 Install the screws (7).

 (d)
 Torque the screws (7) to 0.2 m.daN (17.69 lbf.in) and safety them with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia. 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).

 (e)
 Install the plate (6).

 (f)
 Install the cable of the connector (9) in the clamp (5). Install the washers (4) and the screws (3).

 (g)
 Torque the screws (3) to 0.2 m.daN (17.69 lbf.in) and safety them with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia. 0.8 mm (0.03 in.).

 

 (11)
 Connect the transducer connector (36) as follows:

 (a)
 iInstall the connector (36) on the monting fixture assy (10). Put the flat face against the mounting fixture assy (10).

 (b)
 Install the seal (35) in the nut (34) of the connector (36). Connect the connectors (33) and (36).

 (c)
 Tighten the nut (34) on the connector (36). Safety the nut (34) with lockwire corrosion resistant steel dia. 0.8 mm (0.03 in.) to the mouting fixture assy.

 

 (12)
 Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004A) in the axle along a length of 100 mm (3.9370 in.) approx..

 (13)
 Install the mounting fixture assy (10) in the axle. Do not use force. NOTE : Make sure that the pads of the mounting fixture assy (10) are


____
 in the correct condition.

 NOTE : During installation, put the electrical cables in the correct
____
 position.

 (14) Attach the mounting fixture assy (10) with the bolts (14), the washers (32) and the nuts (31).
 NOTE : Install the bolts (14) so that their heads are turned to the

 inner side of the axle.

 (15) TORQUE the nuts (31) to between 0.40 and 0.45 m.daN (35.39 and 39.82 lbf.in) and then safety them with the new cotter pin (30).
 NOTE : Install the cotter pins (30) so that they are at 90 deg. to
____
 the axle centerline.

 B. Installation of the Impeller and Shroud Assy
 (1)
 Apply a light coat of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-003) to the drive fitting of the transducer (13) and the drive dog (26).

 (2)
 Install the joint (16) and the collar (15). Engage the drive dog (26) in the drive fitting of the transducer (13).


 NOTE : The locating pin (37) puts the joint (16) in the correct
____ position. It locks the joint so that it cannot turn on the wheel.
 (3) TORQUE the screw (28) to between 0.28 and 0.34 m.daN (24.77 and 30.08 lbf.in).
 NOTE : The pins (27) set the shroud (25) in the correct position.
____
 (4)
 Install the shroud (25). NOTE : The shroud (25) must touch the wheel around all its

____
 circumference.


 (5)
 Install the screws (18). TORQUE the screws (18) to 0.25 m.daN (22.12 lbf.in).

 (6)
 Remove the blanking caps and then connect the connector (29) to the plug (11).


 NOTE : The cable (38) must make a smooth curve.

 (7) Install the impeller (24)
 Pre SIL 32 - 095
 -Apply a thin layer of COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-003) on the drive shaft of the impeller and on the thread of the nut (23).
 -Put the impeller (24) in position. Engage the splines. TORQUE the nut (23) to 3.4 m.daN (25.07 lbf.ft) with DISASSEMBLY TOOL (MG174-04). Safety the nut with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia.
