A. Removal of the Fan Assy
(1)
Release the tab-washers (14).
(2)
Remove the screws (13) .
(3)
Remove and discard the tab-washers (14) .
(4)
Remove the guard assy (15). NOTE : Remove the guard assy (15) along the centerline of the axle so
____ that you do not cause damage to the splines (7).
(5)
Remove the impeller (18)
-Cut and remove the lockwire and discard it
-Hold the impeller (18) with DISASSEMBLY TOOL (MG174-04), remove the nut (16) and the washer (17).
-Remove the impeller (18).
(6)
Remove the shroud (19).
(7)
Remove the nut (22) and the collar (23).
(8)
Remove the joint (20).
(9)
Remove the cotter pins (11) and discard them. Remove the nuts (10), the washers (9) and the bolts (8).
(10) Remove the motor assy (6). NOTE : When you remove the motor assy (6), do not cause damage to the

electrical cables of the motor assy.
NOTE : Do not apply pressure against the rotating components of the
____
tachometer.
(11)
Disconnect the connector (1) from the tachometer (5) and put the blanking caps in position.
