Heavy Maintenance (B1-B2) – All Models (10 Days)
ATA Level: V Class Size: 6 to 8 Course Code: 2007 (B757)
Designed for personnel responsible for performing and supervising
limited and major engine assembly and disassembly. The course
provides practical hands-on training on the disassembly of major
build groups and assembly using necessary special tooling,
equipment and appropriate technical manuals.
Maximum Heavy Maintenance (B3) – All Models
(See note for class duration.)
ATA Level: V Class Size: 2 to 4 Course Code: 2006 (B757)
Designed for personnel responsible for performing and supervising
limited and major engine assembly and disassembly. The course
provides practical hands-on training on the disassembly of major
build groups and assembly using necessary special tooling,
equipment and appropriate technical manuals.
This course is offered only at the customer’s facility using the
customer’s tooling and engine-build groups.
Note: Training days = 3 to 35 days. The number of build groups selected for training
determines total course length.
Bootstrap Equipment Installation – All Models (2 Days)
ATA Level: IV Class Size: 4 to 6 Course Code: 2011 (B757)
Teaches members how to remove and install an engine using
the bootstrap method. Engine bootstrap tooling installation and
removal tasks will be performed. The course will cover the
maintenance manual procedure for preparing the engine for
removal and installation.

Borescope Inspection Procedures – All Models (2 Days)

Designed for technicians responsible for performing borescope
inspection of the engine gaspath condition. The course consists
primarily of practical exercises using borescope equipment, a training
engine, mockups and worksheets to develop critical investigative
and interpretative skills.
Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (1 Day)
ATA Level: N/A Class Size: 12 Course Code: 2504
Provides an introduction to the format, navigation, functions and
features of the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) and the
International Aerospace Engines (IAE) manuals contained within.
V2500 Engine Series Courses
System Familiarization (2 Days)
ATA Level: I Class Size: 15 Course Code: 6101
Provides an introduction to engine design features and an overview
of systems, performance and ground operations.
T1 PW6100 Engine Only for Airbus A318 (5 Days)
EASA Level: III Class Size: 12 Course Code: 6103
Designed for maintenance technicians and other personnel
associated with line and base maintenance. This course provides a
detailed description of system operation, component location,
onboard reporting systems and fault isolation procedures to aircraft
maintenance manual level.
Borescope Inspection Procedures – All Models (2 Days)
ATA Level: IV Class Size: 4 Course Code: 6100
Designed for technicians responsible for performing borescope
inspection of the engine gaspath condition. The course consists
primarily of practical exercises using borescope equipment, a training
engine, mockups and worksheets to develop critical investigative
and interpretative skills.
Post-Maintenance Test (5 Days)
ATA Level: IV Class Size: 12 Course Code: 6108
Designed for mechanics, technicians and propulsion engineers
responsible for engine testing and analysis. Students will develop
the skills necessary to perform engine test procedures, monitor
performance and evaluate engine condition. Practical experience will
be gained using test logs and data to monitor performance and to
troubleshoot engines.
Engine Change – Bootstrap Method – All Models (2 Days)
ATA Level: IV Class Size: 4 to 6 Course Code: 6107
Gives engine-change team members the knowledge and hands-on
experience needed to remove and replace an engine from the
on-wing position. A training engine installed on mockup pylon and
bootstrap equipment is used for the practical shop training. Team
practice at task and safety procedures is emphasized.
