Corsair implements Jouve AirGTI® system to support
its B747 maintenance operations
IRVINE, CA – January 25, 2007 – Jouve Aviation Solutions announced today that Corsair, Europe’s
second largest seat capacity airline and part of the TUI group of companies, has signed a multi-year
contract with Jouve to provide an integrated electronic maintenance manual system to support the
airline’s maintenance operations for its fleet of B747 aircraft.
“Our challenge was to seek a solution to manage and publish our B747 maintenance manuals coming
from Boeing in SGML format,” stated Corsair Technical Publications Manager Patrick Mouchel, “and
Jouve has demonstrated they have the SGML expertise and proven products to meet our requirements.”
The implementation of the Jouve AirGTI solution will provide Corsair technicians with powerful
navigation and search functionality and direct access to the most up-to-date maintenance manuals. The
AirGTI TR Integrator tool will enable Corsair publications personnel to seamlessly integrate airlineauthored
supplements or Boeing Temporary Revisions (TRs) issued between normal revision cycles.
“We are certain that Corsair will see immediate productivity gains and improvements in their
maintenance environment,” stated Jouve President Geoffrey Godet. “With the implementation of AirGTI
into their B747 program, our solution will also enable Corsair the option to extend this to their Airbus and
Pratt & Whitney data down the road.”
The scope of the Corsair project includes the production and delivery of electronic databases for each of
the B747 primary maintenance manuals – AMM, IPC, FIM, WDM, SSM and Task Cards.
Publishing OEM manuals has long been Jouve’s core competency. Besides the robust viewing
and searching capabilities, the AirGTI DocViewer features inter- and intra-manual linking and
multi-document synchronization allowing airline mechanics to quickly consult other chapter/sections in
other related manuals.
Jouve Engineering Services (JES), based in Atlanta, GA, will also be utilized for incorporating an interior
configuration supplement into the AMM, IPC, SSM and WDM manuals.
Corsair operates its own Technical Department which controls line maintenance of planes at its main base
at Orly, as well as at Fort-de-France and Pointe-à-Pitre. They manage approximately 3,500 plane
rotations departing from Orly alone. The technical management team of 220 people provides complete

coverage of production, logistics, purchasing, engineering, planning and quality control, allowing for
adequate maintenance and monitoring of their planes under secure conditions.
