 CAUTION: DO NOT MOTOR THE ENGINE WHEN THE ENGINE OIL IS DRAINED.
_______ IF IT IS MOTORED WITHOUT OIL IN THE OIL SYSTEM, DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE CAN OCCUR.
 (6)  Drain the oil from the oil tank:
 NOTE: The PWA 86018 Adapter can be used to drain the oil from the
____ oil tank. You do not have to remove the master MCD housing and the probe from the oil tank.
 (a)  
Lift the handle on the filler cap for the oil tank and turn it 45° counterclockwise to the OPEN position.

 (b)  
If you do not use the PWA 86018 adapter, remove the master MCD housing and the probe at the bottom of the oil tank to drain the oil tank (AMM 79-21-10/401).

 (c)  
If you use the PWA 86018 adapter, drain the oil tank with the steps that follow: 1) Remove the master MCD probe at the bottom of the oil tank

 (AMM 79-21-10/401). 2) Install the PWA 86018 adapter in the MCD housing.

 (7)  Drain the oil from the main gearbox:
 (a)  Remove the MCD housing and the probe at the bottom forward end of the main gearbox (AMM 79-21-10/401).

 (8)  Drain the oil from the angle gearbox:
 (a)  
Remove the No. 4 lining segment for the fan exit to get access to the drain plug for the angle gearbox (AMM 72-34-03/401).

 (b)  
Put a container below the drain plug on the angle gearbox.

 (c)  
Remove the bolts, the washers, and the plug on the right side of the bottom cover.

 (9)  Remove the main oil filter (AMM 79-21-05/401).
 (a)  Discard the filter.

 Remove the four MCD housing and probe assemblies from the lubrication and scavenge oil pump (AMM 79-21-10/401).

 Let the engine oil fall off in drops from the drain outlets for approximately 30 minutes.

 Install the main oil filter (AMM 79-21-05/401).

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT INSTALL THE PLUG WITHOUT THE PACKING. THE INSTALLATION OF THE PLUG WITHOUT A PACKING CAN CAUSE TOO MUCH OIL LEAKAGE DURING THE ENGINE OPERATION. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE.
 (13) Install the drain plug for the angle gearbox:
 (a)  
Install the packing, lubricated with engine oil, on the drain plug for the angle gearbox.

 (b)  
Install the drain plug in the cover of the angle gearbox.

 (c)  
Lubricate the threads of the bolts with Antigalling Compound.

 (d)  
Install the bolts, and the washers.

 (e)  
Tighten the bolts to 62-72 pound-inches (7.005-8.135
 newton-meters).

 Install the No. 4 lining segment for the fan exit (AMM 72-34-03/401).

 Install the four MCD housing and probe assemblies in the lubrication and scavenge oil pump (AMM 79-21-10/401).

 If you used the PWA 86018 adapter to drain the oil tank, install the master MCD housing and probe assembly in the oil tank (AMM 79-21-10/401).

 If you used the PWA 86018 adapter to drain the oil tank, install the MCD probe with the steps that follow:

 (a)  Remove the PWA 86018 adapter from the master MCD housing in the oil tank.
