 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING
_______ EDGE BEFORE YOU EXTEND THE FLAPS. FLAPS EXTEND AND RETRACT QUICKLY AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 CAUTION: DO NOT ELECTRICALLY EXTEND OR RETRACT THE FLAPS MORE THAN ONE
_______ TIME IN 5 MINUTES. DAMAGE TO THE MOTOR CAN OCCUR IF THE MOTOR BECOMES TOO HOT.
 (2)  Extend the LE flaps through the alternate system:
 (a)  
Push the ALTN FLAPS ARM switch to set the flap system in the alternate operation.

 (b)  
Move the ALTN FLAPS EXT/RET switch to the EXT position.

 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE LE FLAP SAFETY LOCKS. THE LE FLAPS CAN MOVE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE SAFETY LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (3)  
Do this task: "Extended Leading Edge Flap Deactivation and Safety Lock Installation" (AMM 27-81-00/201).

Remove necessary parts to get access to the lubrication fittings.


 NOTE: Lubricate the splines through the lubrication holes.

 CAUTION: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO ROTATION OF THE TORQUE TUBES OR THE
_______ OUTPUT SHAFT OF THE POWER DRIVE UNIT WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THE SLEEVE COUPLINGS. MAKE SURE YOU CAN ENGAGE THE COUPLING SLEEVE WITH THE SAME SPLINE AS WHEN DISCONNECTED. IF THERE IS MOVEMENT OF THE SYSTEM, A RIGGING CHECK OF THE DRIVE SHAFT IS NECESSARY TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (a)  Make sure there is no rotation of the torque tubes or the output shaft when you disconnect the sleeve couplings. 1) If there is movement, you must do a rigging check of the
 drive shaft (AMM 27-81-05/401).

 (6)  S 163-014Remove all unwanted grease from the couplings.
 (7)  S 413-007Install all the parts removed to get access to lubrication fittings.

 NACELLE STRUT FITTINGS LUBRICATION - SERVICING

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. One task is to lubricate the strut-to-wing attach fittings. The other task is to lubricate the spring beam fittings. The procedure to lubricate the nacelle strut fittings has these parts:
 (1)  
The removal of the access doors on the inboard struts

 (2)  
The opening of the trailing edge (TE) fairing doors

 (3)  
Lubricate the fittings on the midspars and aft attach pins/bolts of the diagonal brace.

 (4)  
The installation of the access doors on the inboard struts

 (5)  
Close the TE fairing doors


 B. The procedure to lubricate the spring beam fittings has these parts:
 (1)  
The removal of the access doors on the inboard struts
