 (8) Adjust the inboard flap, ring spring assemblies one at a time:
 NOTE: Adjust the ring springs after you have lubricated and

 installed all four.

 (a)  
Loosen the nut until you can easily turn the ring spring on the bolt.

 (b)  
Tighten the nut sufficiently so that you cannot turn the ring spring by hand, to remove end play.

 (c)  
Tighten the nut one more turn.


 NOTE: The spring will be compressed and additional 0.05-0.06
____ inch from the initial position. The full chamfer of the bolt must extend through the nut.
 The ring spring compression is the difference in the dimension between the retainer and the retaining ring before and after the last adjustment of the nut.
 Do not tighten the nut more to make sure the preload is correct.

 "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (AMM 29-11-00/201).
