(1) Make sure that the mode selector lever is in the disarmed
(MANUAL/DISARM) position.

WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL THE SAFETY PIN IN THE EMERGENCY POWER
_______ RESERVOIR. IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE SAFETY PIN, THE DOOR CAN OPEN AUTOMATICALLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
(2)
Install the safety pin in the emergency power reservoir (Fig. 301).
(a) On the overhead reservoir installation, if you cannot install the safety pin because of the lockwire, cut the lockwire.
(3)
Remove the lower lining from the main entry door (Ref 52-11-02/401).
(4)
Open the main entry door.

(5) Lubricate the girt bar (Fig. 302).
(a)
Clean all the surfaces of the floor brackets with solvent.
(b)
Lubricate the floor brackets as shown on Figure 302.
(c)
Close the main entry door.
(d)
Move the mode selector lever to the armed (AUTOMATIC/ARM) position.
WARNING: TURN THE HANDLE OF THE DOOR SLOWLY AND ONLY TO THE
_______ NECESSARY LIMIT. IF YOU TURN THE HANDLE AND OPEN THE DOOR, THE ESCAPE SYSTEM WILL OPERATE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
(e)
Turn the inner handle of the door only until the lower gate lifts up.
(f)
Move the bar locks to disengage them from the floor brackets.
(g)
Lift the girt bar.
(h)
Remove the bar locks from the girt bar.
(i)
Clean all surfaces of the bar locks and the ends of the girt bar with solvent.
(j)
Lubricate the bar locks and girt bar as shown in Figure 301.
(k)
Install the bar locks on the girt bar and engage them in the floor brackets.
NOTE: The mode selector lever is in the armed (AUTOMATIC/ARM)

(l) Make sure that the girt bar has equal clearances between the ends of the girt bar and the stop tabs.

Turn the inner handle of the door slowly to close the main entry door.

Move the mode selector lever to the disarmed (MANUAL/DISARM) position.
