3 FILL THE EMPTY SPACE ABOVE THE BEARING, BETWEEN THE SHAFT AND THE BEARING HOUSING. THIS WILL HELP KEEP WATER OUT OF THE BEARING.
6 LUBRICATE THE CABLE TERMINAL BALL AND SEAT AT THE TWO ENDS OF THE CABLE.
7 YOU MUST REMOVE THE CONTROL CAM ACCESS COVER TO GET TO THE LATCHING AND COCKING CRANK ROLLERS.

8 ON AIRPLANES WITHOUT THE ZERK FITTING, YOU MUST DISASSEMBLE THE SPROCKET TO LUBRICATE THE SPROCKET BEARINGS AND SLEEVE (AMM 52-11-11/401).
9 ON AIRPLANES WITH THE ZERK FITTINGS, USE A GREASE GUN TO LUBRICATE THE SPROCKET BEARINGS AND SLEEVE.
10 YOU MUST LOOSEN THE NUT ABOVE THE UPPER BEARING BEFORE YOU APPLY THE GREASE. YOU MUST TIGHTEN THE NUT AFTER YOU APPLY THE GREASE.
