Remove the container.

Before you install the oil filler cap (1) on the APU oil tank, put the chain in the inner APU oil tank until you cannot see the chain.
(i)
Install the oil filler cap (1) on the APU oil tank.
(j)
Turn the handle on the oil filler cap (1) clockwise and push it down to lock the cap into position.

TANK SINCE ITS LAST OVERHAUL. INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE APU ENGINE CAN OCCUR.

If the APU oil in the APU oil tank is changed to a different type or brand name of oil, do this task: Flush the APU Oil Tank (AMM 12-22-02/301).

(1) Do these steps to flush the oil from the APU oil tank:
(a) Do this task: Fill the APU Oil Tank (AMM 12-22-02/301).
NOTE: You use the different type or brand name of oil when you

Do this task: APU Starting and Operation (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(c)
During the APU operation, make sure the APU operates for five minutes and there is no sign of oil leakage.
(d)
Do this task: APU Usual Shutdown (AMM 49-11-00/201).
(e)
Do this task: Drain the APU Oil (AMM 12-22-02/301).
(f)
Do this task: Fill the APU Oil Tank (AMM 12-22-02/301).
NOTE: You use the different type or brand name of oil when you

(g) Attach a service tag to the APU to show the oil brand name and oil type in the APU oil tank.
