(2)
Adjust signal generator output until HSI striped NAV flag disappears. Verify that RMI narrow pointers indicate 180 (| 3) degrees, HSI course deviation bar is centered, and that HSI to/from pointer indicates from.
(3)
Rotate No. 1 course selector knob on AP/FD mode select panel until HSI deviation bar is over second right dot and check that course counter reads 010 (| 2) degrees.
(4)
Disconnect LOC cable connector DB063A (VOR/ILS 1), DB064A (VOR/ILS 2) or DB299A (VOR/ILS 3) from VOR/LOC antenna switch and verify that no loss of signal occurs.
(5)
Reconnect LOC cable and reset course counter to 000.

NOTE: The captain's and first officer's flight director systems
____ must be on and in the ILS or LAND mode to supply capture logic to enable ADI displays and localizer antenna switching for the following localizer and glide slope tests.
G. Glide Slope Test
(1)
Position signal generator(s) forward of nose radome and set up to provide ON-COURSE localizer and glide test signals at 108.10 MHz and 334.70 MHz respectively.
(2)
Tune captain's system to ILS test frequency of 108.10 Mhz.
EFFECTIVITY
ALL ATG Page 509 Aug 25/8634-31-00
(3)
Adjust signal generator output until ADI and HSI GS flags disappear. Verify that captain's ADI and HSI glide slope pointers are centered.
(4)
Vary glide slope deviation test signal for full scale up (top dot) glide slope deviation display on captain's ADI and HSI.
(5)
Turn off glide slope test signal and verify that GS flags appear in captain's ADI and HSI.
(6)
Turn on glide slope test signal and set for zero deviation (ON-COURSE). Check that ADI and HSI glide slope pointers move in conjunction to centered indication.
H. Localizer Test
(1)
On AP/FD mode select panel, position NAV mode selector to ILS and FD switches to ON. Verify following on captain's instruments:
(a)
HSI course deviation bar centered
(b)
RMI narrow pointers stowed at 3 o'clock
(c)
ADI and HSI glide slope and localizer pointers and associated flags in view.
(2)
Adjust signal generator output until ADI and HSI localizer flags disappear.
(3)
Vary localizer deviation test signal so that captain's HSI
deviation bar is deflected left over outer dot.
(4)
Slowly reduce signal generator localizer test signal "left" deviation until autopilot captures localizer and ADI runway symbol becomes active. Check that HSI localizer display indicates 1/2 dot left deviation.
NOTE: AP localizer capture required for ADI runway enable on AF,
____
AZ, GN, IB, LH and SN airplanes.
(5)
Disconnect VOR rf cable connector DB300B (VOR/ILS 1 or 3) or DB298B (VOR/ILS 2 or 3) from VOR/LOC antenna switch and verify that test signal reception is not lost.
(6)
Reconnect VOR rf cable connector.
I. ILS Switching/Interlocks Test
(1) Adjust signal generator(s) test signal levels for approximately 1-1/2 dot localizer and glide slope deviation displays on captain's HSI.
