B. Cleaning of the Aircraft
(1)
If necessary, clean the aircraft externally (Ref. TASK 12-21-11-615-001).
(2)
If necessary, clean the aircraft internally:
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-002)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-003)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-004)

(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-009)
Subtask 10-11-00-941-055
C. Safety Precautions
(1)
Park the aircraft on a flat surface. Make sure that the wheels of the nose landing gear are on the aircraft axis and the aircraft points into the wind.
(2)
Install the safety devices on the landing gears (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
Make sure that the flaps, the slats, the spoilers and the thrust reversers are retracted.
(4)
Make sure that the THS is set to two degrees up.
(5) Put the wheel chocks in position: R (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 10-11-00-991-009)
(a)
For the NLG:
-in front of and behind the wheels.
(b)
For the MLG:
R - in front of and behind the wheels. NOTE : The wheel chocks on the nose landing gear and the parking
____ brake give more safety in bad weather.
(6) Ground the aircraft (Ref. TASK 12-34-24-869-002).
Subtask 10-11-00-650-059
D. Aircraft Configuration
(1)
Energize the electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
If necessary refuel the fuel tanks to 30% minimum of their total capacity (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-003) or (Ref. TASK 12-11-28-650-004).
4. Procedure
_________

A. Protection of the fuel system
(1)
Do a fuel sampling for microbiological contamination (Ref. TASK 12-32-28-281-003) or (Ref. TASK 12-32-28-281-004).
(2)
If you find contamination:
(a)
Do a shock treatment:
-
if premixed fuel with biocide is available (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-004) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-004).
-
if premixed fuel with biocide is not available (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-004) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-004).
(b)
Do a preventive treatment:
1 If premixed fuel is available:
_
-refuel the wing tanks to 90% to the total capacity with fuel premixed with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
-Refuel the center tank to 30% to the total capacity with fuel premixed with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
2 If premixed fuel is not available:
_
-
Refuel the wing tanks to 90% of the total capacity with fuel not premixed with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
-
Refuel the center tank to 30% of the total capacity with no premixed fuel with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
(3)
If contamination is not found:
(a)
If fuel premixed with biocide is available:
-
Refuel the wing tanks to 30% of the total capacity with premixed fuel with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
-
Refuel the center tank to 30% of the total capacity with premixed fuel with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
(b)
If premixed fuel with biocide is not available:
-refuel the wing tanks to 30% of the total capacity with fuel not premixed (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007)
-Refuel the center tank to 30% of the total capacity with fuel not premixed with biocide (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007) or (Ref. TASK 28-11-00-600-007).
(4)
Drain water from all the fuel tanks (Ref. TASK 12-32-28-281-001)
NOTE : Do the water drain procedure one hour after refueling is
____
completed.
(5) Close all the fuel system valves.
