PARKING - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. Reason for the Job
__________________
This procedure gives the periodic ground check at 7-day intervals for a parking period of not more than 15 days or of not more than 12 weeks (aircraft in flight-ready condition).

A. Inspection
(1)
Do a general visual inspection of the airframe from the ground for correct condition.
(a)
Make sure that the protective equipments are correctly installed.
(b)
Make sure that there are no leaks from:
-
the wings
-
the lower fuselage
-
the landing gears
-
the engines
-
the APU
-
the horizontal and vertical stabilizer.
(c)
Make sure that there are no signs of bird nesting in all areas of the aircraft to which birds have access.
(d)
Do a check for bird excrements. If there are birds excrements, remove them.
(e)
Do a check of the outer skin for contamination that is not usual.
(2)
Make sure that the extension of landing gear shock absorbers is correct.
(3)
Do a check of the tire pressure (Ref. TASK 32-41-00-210-003).
(4)
Do a check of the hydraulic reservoir level (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-200-001).
