R (1) Do a visual inspection of the aircraft for impacts by foreign
R objects, bird nests, fluid leakages, (hydraulic fluid, fuel), missing
R parts, obstruction and corrosion of:
R (a) the upper and the lower surface of the wing
R (b) the nacelles and the pylons
R (c) the external surfaces of the fuselage
R (d) the flight control surfaces
R (e) the leading and the trailing edge of the horizontal and vertical
R stabilizers
R (f) the external skin of:
R - the passenger/crew doors
R - the cargo doors
R - the frame around the doors
R (g) the external handle of the passenger/crew doors
R (h) the drains:
R 1 In the lower fuselage (Ref. TASK 53-59-00-210-001)._
R 2 On the pylons (Ref. TASK 54-50-00-200-001)_
R 3 In all other locations._
R (i) the toilet areas
R (j) all steel parts for corrosion.
R (2) If you find corrosion, remove it (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-001).

R B. Cleaning of the Aircraft
R (1) Remove all the STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-002) and
R adhesive tapes.
R (2) We recommend to clean the aircraft externally (Ref. TASK 12-21-11-
R 615-001).

R C. Aircraft Configuration
R (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits from the external power
R (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
R (2) On the overhead panel 25 VU, on the CABIN PRESS section:
R - release the DITCHING pushbutton switch to open the avionics
R ventilation skin valves and the outflow valves.
R NOTE : Make sure that the avionics ventilation continues to operate____
R correctly.
R (3) Pressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-863-
R 001), (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-863-001), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).

R D. Do these Tests:
R (1) Do a test of the crossfeed valves (Ref. TASK 28-23-00-720-001).
R (2) Do a test the engine LP-fuel shut-off valve (Ref. TASK 28-24-00-710-
R 002).
R (3) Do a test of the APU shut-off valve (Ref. TASK 28-29-00-710-001).
R (4) Do a test of the aileron and its hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 27-14-
R 00-710-001).
R (5) Do a test of the elevator and its hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 27-34-
R 00-710-001).
R (6) Do a test of the rudder hydraulic actuation (Ref. TASK 27-24-00-710-
R 001).
R (7) Do a test of the flap system (Ref. TASK 27-54-00-710-001).
R (8) Do a test of the spoiler hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 27-64-00-710-
R 001).
R (9) Do a test of the slat system (Ref. TASK 27-84-00-710-001).
R (10) Do a test of the landing gear doors (Ref. TASK 32-31-00-710-002).

R E. Inspection of the Landing Gear
R (1) Do a general visual inspection:
R - of the NLG (Ref. TASK 05-27-10-200-001)
R - of the MLG (Ref. TASK 05-27-30-200-001)
R (2) Remove the mooring tool from the NLG.
R (3) Lift and turn the wheels by hand to make sure that there is no defect
R on the bearings:
R - for NLG (Ref. TASK 07-12-00-582-001)
R - for MLG (Ref. TASK 07-12-00-582-002)
R (4) Put the aircraft on its wheels.
R (5) Put the aircraft in mooring condition (Ref. TASK 10-20-00-556-001).
R (6) Do a Check of each wheel-half for corrosion. If you find corrosion,
R clean with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-002).
