Subtask 10-12-00-860-059
A. General
(1) This section gives the procedure for aircraft storage in standard weather conditions but:
(a)
If aircraft storage is in high wind conditions:
-do a check of the aircraft stability (Ref. TASK 05-57-00-200-001)
-moor the aircraft (Ref. TASK 10-20-00-556-001) if necessary.
(b)
If aircraft storage is in cold weather conditions:
-do the cold weather maintenance procedures: (Ref. TASK 12-31-21-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-24-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-25-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-27-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-28-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-31-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-32-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-35-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-38-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-49-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-51-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-52-660-001), (Ref. TASK 12-31-71-660-001).
NOTE : In cold weather conditions, we recommend to put a fiber
____ material between the tires and the ground surface.

B. Cleaning of the Aircraft
(1)
If necessary, clean the aircraft externally (Ref. TASK 12-21-11-615-001).
(2)
If necessary, clean the aircraft internally:
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-002)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-003)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-004)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-005)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-006)
(Ref. TASK 12-21-12-100-007)

C. Safety Precautions
(1)
Park the aircraft on a flat surface. Make sure that the wheels of the nose landing gear are on the aircraft axis and the aircraft points into the wind.
(2)
Install the safety devices on the landing gears (Ref. TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
(3)
Put the wheel chocks in position: R (Ref. Fig. 201/TASK 10-12-00-991-002)
(a) For the NLG:
-in front of and behind the wheels.
(b)
For the MLG: R - in front of and behind the wheels.
NOTE : The wheel chocks on the nose landing gear and the parking
____ brake give more safety in bad weather.
(4)
Make sure that the flaps, the slats, the spoilers and the thrust reversers are retracted.
(5)
Make sure that the THS is set to two degrees up.
(6)
Put a WARNING NOTICE in position to tell persons not to operate the systems during the aircraft storage procedure.

D. Aircraft Configuration
(1)
Energize the electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Pressurize the aircraft hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-863-001), (Ref. TASK 29-24-00-863-001), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
