Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 15M (49 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position near the aircraft.
(2)
Put a WARNING NOTICE in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the systems while you prepare the aircraft for operation again.
4. Procedure

Subtask 10-30-00-210-074
A. Visual Inspection
(1) Do a visual inspection of the aircraft for impacts by foreign R objects, bird nests, fluid leakages (hydraulic fluid, fuel), missing R parts, obstruction and corrosion of:
(a)
the upper and the lower surfaces of the wing
(b)
the nacelles and the pylons
(c)
the external surfaces of the fuselage
(d)
the flight control surfaces
(e)
the leading and the trailing edges of the horizontal and vertical stabilizers
(f)
the external skin of:
-
the passenger/crew doors
-
the cargo doors
-
the frame around the doors.
(g)
the external handle of the passenger/crew doors
(h)
the drains 1 In the lower fuselage (Ref. TASK 53-59-00-210-001)

2 On the pylons (Ref. TASK 54-50-00-200-001)
_
3 In all other locations.
_
(i)
the toilet areas
(j)
all steel parts for corrosion.
(2)
If you find corrosion, remove it (Ref. TASK 51-74-11-300-001).
(3)
Make sure that:
-
the communication and navigation antennas are correctly installed
-
the static dischargers are correctly installed and in correct condition (Ref. TASK 23-61-00-200-001).
(4) Do a check of the avionics compartment.

B. Cleaning of the Aircraft
(1) Remove all the STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-002) and adhesive tapes.
R (2) We recommend that you clean the aircraft externally (Ref. TASK 12-21-11-615-001).

C. Aircraft Configuration
(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
On the overhead panel 25 VU, on the CABIN PRESS section:
-release the DITCHING pushbutton switch to open the avionics ventilation skin valves and the outflow valve.
NOTE : Make sure that the avionics ventilation continues to operate
____
correctly.
(3) Install and connect the batteries 2PB1 and 2PB2 and make sure that the charge is correct (Ref. TASK 24-38-51-400-001).

D. Removal of the Protections
(1)
Remove all the protective equipment from the engines, the APU, the probes.
(2)
Remove the protection from the cockpit, the passenger seats and the carpets.

E. Inspection of the Doors
(1) Make sure that the doors open and close correctly.

F. Installation of the Equipment Removed
(1) Install the Digital Flight Data Recorder (Ref. TASK 31-33-55-400-002).
(2) Install the Cockpit Voice Recorder (Ref. TASK 23-71-35-400-001).
(3) Install the debris guard, the impeller and the shroud of the brake fans (Ref. TASK 32-48-51-400-005).
R R (4) Install the fire-extinguisher bottles and cartridges if removed of: - the cargo compartment (Ref. TASK 26-23-41-000-004) - the engines (Ref. TASK 26-21-41-400-004) - the APU (Ref. TASK 26-22-41-400-001).
