Install the check valve

Remove the cover from the duct opening.

Make sure there is no unwanted material in the duct.

Put the check valve in position in the duct.
(a)
Make sure the flow arrow points forward.
(b)
Make sure the shaft of the check valve is in a vertical position.

Move part of the flexible duct on to the aft end of the check valve.

Install the clamp on the aft end of the check valve.
(a)
Tighten the clamp to 20-25 pound inches.

Install the clamp that holds the check valve to the support bracket.

Do the installation test for the check valve

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

2) Open this circuit breaker, on the miscellaneous electrical equipment panel, P70, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: a) 70B2, AFT EQPT COOLING FAN EXH NO. 2
(b) Make sure the No. 1 fan comes on.

If the No. 2 check valve was installed:
(a)
Do the steps that follow:
1) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker, on the miscellaneous electrical equipment panel, P70: a) 70B2, AFT EQPT COOLING FAN EXH NO. 2
2) Open this circuit breaker, on the right miscellaneous electrical equipment panel, P37, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: a) 37D5, AFT EQPT COOLING FAN EXH NO. 1
(b) Make sure the No. 2 fan comes on.
