Remove electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

To remove the right check valve, remove the access panel for the right recirculation filter.
NOTE: The access panel is on the aft bulkhead of the forward cargo

compartment.

To remove the left check valve, remove the left sidewall lining panel, approximately 5-6 feet (1.5-2.0 meters) aft of the forward end of the forward cargo compartment (AMM 25-50-02/401).

Remove the Check Valve

Remove the clamps from the check valve (4 locations).

Move the flexible ducts away from the check valve.

Remove the check valve.

Put a cover on the duct openings.

Install the Check Valve

Remove the covers from the duct openings.

Put the check valve into position in the ducts.

Make sure the flow arrow points to the mix manifold.

Move the flexible ducts on to the check valve.
(4)
Install the clamps on the check valve (4 locations).

(5)
Tighten the screw on the clamps to 20 to 25 pound-inches.

Do the installation test for the check valve.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

AIRPLANES WITH PASSENGER CONFIGURATION; Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the applicable (L or R) RECIRC FAN switch-light.

Push the switch-light to the on position.
