Install the access panel for the right recirculation filter in the aft bulkhead of the forward cargo compartment.

Close the No. 1 Cargo Door, 821 (AMM 06-46-00/201).

RECIRCULATION AIR CHECK VALVE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. The recirculation system uses two check valves to let the air flow into, but not out of, the mix manifold. The check valve for the right recirculation system is installed immediately to the right of the mix manifold. The check valve for the left recirculation system is installed in the forward end of the left sidewall of the forward cargo compartment.
B. This procedure has instructions to remove and install the check valves for the recirculation system.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Turn the L and R PACK selectors, on the pilots overhead panel, P5, to the OFF position.
(a)
Make sure the PACK OFF lights come on.
(b)
Put a DO-NOT-OPERATE tag on the selectors.

Push the applicable (L or R) RECIRC FAN switch-light, on the P5 panel, to the off position.

Make sure the INOP light comes on.
