R A. Test
R (1) Do the BITE test of the GAPCU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-740-002).
R (a) If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED: R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.A.
R (b) If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED: R - do the trouble shooting given in Para 4.B.
R 4. Fault Isolation

R A. If the BITE test gives the message TEST FAILED:
R - push the line key adjacent to the TEST FAILED message.
R (1) If the maintenance message GCU2 (1XU2) comes into view:
R - replace the GCU-2 (1XU2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-000-001) and (Ref.
R AMM TASK 24-22-34-400-001).
R B. If the BITE test gives the message TEST PASSED:
R - do a check of the contact of the ENG/MASTER 2 control switch (2KC) for
R correct operation between pins 3A and 1A (Ref. ASM 76-12/01).
R (1) If the contact do not operate correctly:
R - replace the CTL SW-ENG/MASTER 2 (2KC) on the ENG panel 115VU.

R (2) If the contact operate correctly:
R - do a check of the fuel-cutoff status wiring (Ref. ASM 24-22/03) for
R an open circuit between pin 3A of the ENG/MASTER 2 control switch
R and pin A/8C of the GCU 2.
R (a) If there is no continuity:
R - repair or replace as necessary.
R (b) If there is continuity:
R - replace the GCU-2 (1XU2) (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-000-001) and
R (Ref. AMM TASK 24-22-34-400-001).
R C. Do the test given in para. 3.

R A. Test
R - do the BITE test of the GAPCU (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-740-002).
R NOTE : It is not necessary to do the trouble shooting for the CFDS
____ R message ENG1 FIRE PB SW (1WD)/ GCU1 (1XU1) if the flight or R maintenance log books show that the flight crew or the maintenance R personnel pushed the ENG 1 FIRE pushbutton switch on the ENG/APU R FIRE panel after an engine-fire condition or to do a test of the R engine fire loop. R To remove this CFDS message at the start of the subsequent flight, R release and push the ELEC/GEN 1 pushbutton switch (2XU1) before R the subsequent engine start sequence. R If the flight or maintenance crew did not push the ENG 1 FIRE R pushbutton switch, the trip was accidental and you must do the R trouble shooting procedure that follows:
