Install the locking plates (13) and (38) and the nuts (14) and (40).
(c)
TORQUE the nuts (19) and (42) to between 4.2 and 4.8 m.daN (30.97 and 35.39 lbf.ft).
(d)
Safety the nuts (19) and (42) with the new cotter pins (5).
(e)
Remove the LOCK-TORQUE SHAFT (FLAPS AND SLATS) WITH CLAMP-PIVOT, installed outboard of the removed torque shaft FIN 6010CM(6060CM) (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-000-003).
(f)
Use the pneumatic wrench and the ADAPTOR-DRIVE, SLAT (AND FLAP) to fully extend the slats.
(g)
Install the LOCK-TORQUE SHAFT (FLAPS AND SLATS) WITH CLAMP-PIVOT outboard of the removed torque shaft FIN 6010CM(6060CM) (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-400-003).
(h)
Apply special materials:

1_ Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-001) to:
- the nuts (4), (6), (18), (19), (20), (31), (32) and (42)
- the bolt heads (11), (12), (15), (16), (17), (37), (39) and
(41)
- the locking plates (13) and (38).
(i)
Remove the BLOCK-SLAT GAPPING from the No. 9 slat track.
(j)
Do a check of the slat lower trailing-edge, dimension L: 1 Remove the LOCK-TORQUE SHAFT (FLAPS AND SLATS) WITH CLAMP-
_ PIVOT, installed outboard of the removed torque shaft FIN 6010CM(6060CM) (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-000-003).
2 Use the pneumatic wrench and the ADAPTOR-DRIVE, SLAT (AND
_ FLAP) to fully retract the slats.
3 Install the LOCK-TORQUE SHAFT (FLAPS AND SLATS) WITH CLAMP-
_ PIVOT outboard of the removed torque shaft FIN 6010CM(6060CM) (Ref. TASK 27-50-00-400-003).
4 Measure the dimension L of the slat lower trailing-edge. The
_ dimension L must be 5 mm (0.1968 in.) +/- 2 mm (0.0787 in.) at all points along the length of the slat. (Ref. Fig. 405/TASK 27-84-63-991-004)
5 The slat lower trailing-edge must not be more than 1 mm
_ (0.0393 in.) into-wind or out-of-wind.
NOTE : The dimension L and the into-wind and out-of-wind
____ dimensions are not adjustable. If the dimensions you measure are out of limits, you must tell the design authority at Airbus Industrie.
(k) Install and adjust the closing plates (9) and (35) (Ref. TASK 27-84-69-400-001).
(7) At the No. 2 slat track:
(a) Adjust the eccentric bush (9) to get dimension J. Refer to the table that follows.
NOTE : Measure dimension J above the applicable slat track.
