(2)
To adjust the cruise roller (234), do the steps that follow:
(a)
If necessary, remove the cushion seal (229).
(b)
Remove the nut (232), the collar (231) and the serrated plate (233).

(c)
Turn the eccentric (230) until the dimension T is correct.
(d)
Install the serrated plate (233) to lock the eccentric (230).
(e)
Install the collar (231) and the nut (232). Tighten the nut (232) by hand.
(f)
Do a check of the dimension U and the dimension T again.
(g)
TORQUE the nut (232) to between 4.8 and 5.4 m.daN (35.39 and
39.82 lbf.ft).
(3)
Measure and record the clearance between the bottom surface of the shroud box and the top surface of the flap (measured at the outboard end of the shroud box). The clearance must be between 5 mm (0.1968 in.) and 12 mm (0.4724 in.).
(4)
Do a check of the clearance between the trailing edge of the spoiler 1 and the top surface of the flap (Ref. TASK 27-64-00-820-001).

M. Installation of the Z-coupling
(Ref. Fig. 417/TASK 27-54-61-991-019)
(1)
Remove the Z-coupling lever (25) from the inboard flap
attachment-bracket (21):
(a)
Remove the nut (23), the washer (24), the bolt (20) and the lever (25).
(b)
Remove the nut (17), the washer (18) and the spacer(s) (19).
(2)
Put the lever (25) in position on the lever (15) and at the inboard flap attachment-bracket (21).
(3)
Temporarily install the bolt (20).
(4)
Measure and write down the minimum value of the dimension F that can be measured between the levers (25) and (15):
(a)
Subtract 2 mm (0.0787 in.) from the dimension F and use sufficient spacer(s) (19) to get the remaining thickness.
(b)
If the dimension F is less than 2 mm (0.0787 in.), put the spacer(s) (19) between the lever (15) and the washer (18).
1EFF : 301-399, 1 27-54-61Page A437 1 1 Aug 01/05R 1 1 1CES 1
(c) If there is no gap between the levers (25) and (15), apply a load to the outboard end of the inner flap to get a gap of 0.1 mm (0.0039 in.). The load must be applied vertically in line with the lever (25) and must not be more than 20 daN (45 lbf).
(5)
If necessary, remove the bolt (20) and the lever (25).
(6)
Install the lever (25) with the correct thickness of spacer(s) (19) between the levers (25) and (15).
(7)
Install the bolt (20).
(8)
Make sure that the rigging pin (180) is removed at the track 1 position.
(9)
Use the pneumatic wrench and the ADAPTOR-DRIVE, SLAT (AND FLAP) to extend the flaps to position 1.
(10)
Install the washer (24) and the nut (23).
(11)
TORQUE the nut (23) to between 0.9 and 1 m.daN (79.64 and 88.49 lbf.in).
(12)
Safety the nut (23) with a new cotter pin (22).
(13)
Use the pneumatic wrench and the ADAPTOR-DRIVE, SLAT (AND FLAP) to retract the flaps to the 0 position.
(14)
Install the remaining spacers(s) (19) above the washer (18) and the nut (17).
(15)
TORQUE the nut (17) to between 3.1 and 3.6 m.daN (22.86 and 26.54 lbf.ft).
(16) Safety the nut (17) with a new cotter pin (16). Subtask 27-54-61-860-065
N. Aircraft Configuration

(3)
Remove the ADAPTOR-DRIVE, SLAT (AND FLAP) (98D27804001000).
(4)
Remove the LOCKING TOOL - FLAP/SLAT CONTROL LEVER (98D27803000000).
