Remove and discard the tabwasher (160).

Remove the retainer (161).

Remove the locknut (162).

Remove and discard the tabwasher (158).

Remove the toothplate (157).
(h)
Remove the eccentric bush (163). If necessary, carefully lift the flap with the hoist and the sling to release the weight from the eccentric bush (163).
(i)
Lift the flap with the hoist until it is clear of the flap track carriage at the track 2 position.
(j)
Move the outboard end of the flap aft, until it is clear of the wing.
(k)
Pull the flap outboard until the flap drive trunnion (165) is clear of the flap track carriage (169).
(l)
Remove the spacer (164).
(6)
Remove the flap from the wing. CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE FLAP DOES NOT HIT THE AIRCRAFT

CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE SUPPORT STRUCTURE IS CLEAN AND DOES NOT

HAVE ANY SHARP POINTS.
(a) Move the inboard flap with the hoist and lower it onto the support structure.

(7) Put covers, where necessary, over the disconnected items of the flap.
